Unlike a true displacement trawler, the 395 is built on a faster semi-displacement hull with flat aftersections and a shallow, full-length keel—a hull design that provides high efficiency at slower speeds, yet can be run at planing speeds as well. She’s a surprisingly big boat inside thanks to a broad 14'3" beam, and the floorplan manages to include double berths in both staterooms as well as a separate stall shower in the head.
