Description
The Hunter 27-3 is an easy-sailing, compact sailboat with modern conveniences that appeal to a wide range of sailors. Sue Sea, a 2009 model, is no exception! She features an in-mast furling mainsail, furling working jib, full canvas on deck, and standing headroom down below--even for you six-footers!
Sue Sea is outfitted with Raymarine instrumentation--plotter, speed/depth/wind, and autopilot conveniently located at the helm. The sail inventory includes a working jib (2009), furling mainsail (2018), and cruising spinnaker with snuffer. Her on-deck condition is clean and organized, showing diligent care by her owners. All lines lead aft to the coachroof, making for a setup than can be easily sailed single or short-handed; a welcoming configuration for those who want to experience the joy of a sail without breaking a sweat.
Down below, Sue Sea is clean and inviting. A private aft cabin, oriented athwartships, is roomy and comfortable and includes a cedar-lined hanging locker. Forward, a V-berth can sleep two, and the long port and starboard settees can seat plenty of guests at the center table with folding leaves. A head with standup shower is located to port, while the galley is located to starboard. Most galleys on boats of this size typically have an ice box. With Sue Sea, however, a DC refrigerator/freezer on a slider is cleverly hidden under the countertop, greatly enhancing longer-range cruising. The upholstery is in excellent condition, as are the canvas cockpit cushions and cockpit canvas work.
Routine engine maintenance is performed annually, and with only 232 hours, this Yanmar 2YM15 has a long life ahead. Sue Sea also includes a canvas winter cover to keep her dry and protected during the offseason.
If you're looking for a simple sailing, comfortable weekender with an affordable cost of entry, add this boat to your list!
