Yacht Brokers James MacGregor & Samantha Joy Inguanzo

Samantha and James first met at a local hot spot, “Sweetwater,” which is owned by Sam’s friend and coincidentally was the same name of a stranded vessel that James helped the USCG find while broadcasting on 121.5 while he was flying over in an amphibious caravan. Both are pilots and sailors.

Samantha grew up boating, surfing, diving and fishing in the warm coastal waters of South Florida, while James was raised as a liveaboard in the chilly Pacific Northwest. On separate coasts both developed a love for sailing lasers and progressed to more advanced vessels. Samantha has a background in bioengineering and an MBA. James studied emergency medicine and flew many years for MedEvac operations in New York.

Together they completed a partial loop, are charting future plans to complete the journey, and enjoy sailing their own cutter on ventures to Mexico and the Caribbean islands. They currently live in Northern Michigan with their beloved Mini Aussie Shepherd, Jack.
